Porto Chess

Send a correction or suggest a place

This form is for two things: a chess place or tournament in the Porto area that the directory lacks, and a card that says something wrong or stale. Officers, arbiters, teachers, parents and players are equally welcome.

The most useful thing you can add is the address of a page that shows the fact, for instance a club notice, a rule sheet or a dated report. Messages wait for the next update of the Porto list, are checked against that page, and every resulting change is dated under what changed.

What is your message about?
New place: the chess that happens there and when. Correction: the line of the card that is wrong.
The address of a web page, post or notice where this can be read. With it, checking takes minutes.
Only so we know who wrote. It never appears on the site.
A phone number or a messenger name, if you would rather not use email.

One contact is required, either an email address or another one. It stays private and is used only if you ask us to answer.

How your message is handled is described in the privacy policy.

After you send it

  • Your message is stored and read with the others when the Porto list is next updated.
  • We compare it with the page you gave and with the place's own pages; when they agree, the card is changed and the change is dated in the log.
  • When no page supports it, the card stays as it is and keeps showing what is unconfirmed.
  • You get an answer only if you ask for one in the message and leave a contact.
